The St. Vincent de Paul Society – Council of St. Catherine’s is a group of dedicated men and women that assists persons & families living within St. Catherine’s parish boundaries who are in desperate need or home-bound. Each member of the society serves in confidence and with respect for human dignity.
Types of assistance provided:
- Food
- Clothing
- Gas
- Paying a small bill such as a monthly utility
- Guidance to shelters or food pantries
The SVdP Society also organizes the following events throughout the year to support the community:
- Food drives to help stock local food pantries
- Spring/Fall clothing drives for our local St. Vincent de Paul stores
- Christmas toy drive
- Special deliveries to the home-bound such as flowers at Mother’s Day and mini-Christmas trees at Christmas
- Working with neighboring councils in delivering full dinners to those in need at Thanksgiving
Ways to contribute to the St. Catherine of Alexandria SVdP Society:
- Poor box – located on the back wall of the church next to the center doors
- Purchase TRIP gift cards – use TRIP ID# 1111
- Thanksgiving Day Mass 2nd collection

If you or someone you know is in desperate need of assistance and lives in St. Catherine’s parish, please call 630.750.2348. Outside parish boundary requests are referred to neighboring SVdP councils. Christian charity and mercy will always allow for legitimate exceptions.
